Little Sprites Cleaning Co Pty Ltd (ABN 81663889241) are an Australian-owned cleaning service for short-stay, residential and commercial properties. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Consent

By requesting a quote, booking a service, or interacting with us (website, email or phone), you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in line with this policy. You can withdraw consent for non-essential uses (like direct marketing) at any time.

3. What we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone.

  • Property & access: address, lockbox/door codes, access instructions, parking details, turnover windows.

  • Booking & service: dates/times, scope, preferences, incident notes.

  • Images & reports: time-stamped photos to evidence cleaning/staging or report issues.

  • Payment & invoicing: billing details and payment confirmations (we don’t store full card numbers when a gateway is used).

We usually collect information directly from you, from your nominated property manager, and through our on-site work.

4. How we use information

  • Provide, schedule and deliver services.

  • Stage properties, restock supplies, verify task completion.

  • Send quotes, invoices and receipts.

  • Communicate about bookings, access, incidents and maintenance flags.

  • Meet legal, insurance, tax and accounting obligations.

  • Handle enquiries, feedback and complaints.

5. Photos

We take limited, purpose-specific photos to evidence cleaning status, staging or damages. Photographs for promotional purposes will only be used with your consent.

6. Disclosure

We may share information with our staff/contractors (need-to-know), administrative/payment tools, your nominated property manager/host, insurers or legal advisers, and with regulators or law enforcement where required by law.

7. Storage & location

We aim to store personal information in Australia. We use reasonable physical, technical and organisational safeguards (access controls, password policies and confidentiality obligations).

8. Direct marketing

We may send service updates or offers. You can opt out at any time. We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

9. Access and correction

You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information. We aim to respond within 30 days and may ask for identification. If we refuse access in a circumstance allowed under the APPs, we’ll explain why and how to complain.

10. Anonymity/pseudonymity

You may interact anonymously or with a pseudonym for general enquiries. For bookings and property access, we usually need your real details.

11. Website and cookies

Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies to operate and keep your session active. We do not use analytics cookies at this time. You can adjust your browser settings to limit cookies, but some features may not work correctly.

12. Retention

We keep personal information for the duration of engagement and as required for business and legal purposes (for example, records needed for tax), then securely delete or de-identify it.

Email info@littlespritescleaningco.com.au or call 0490 947 040. We acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on 1300 363 992.

14. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. The latest version will be published on our website with an updated effective date.
